Biography
Sheena Kapila is a performer, educator and choreographer originally from Regina, Saskatchewan Canada. She received her Bachelors of Fine Arts in Dance from Sam Houston State University, along with a minor in Kinesiology. Kapila is currently continuing her education at Sam Houston by partaking in her Master of Fine Arts degree. In her collegiate career she was fortunate enough to work with choreographers Dual Rivet, Takehiro Ueyama, Joshua Manculich, Andy Noble, Francisco (Cisco) Graciano, Randall Flinn, Evelyn Toh, Gregory Dolbashian and many more!

Artist Statement
My creative journey revolves around the exploration of genuine connections and expressions through the powerful medium of dance. By focusing on defining my own artistry, I hope to convey a compelling movement quality to others. Not only that, I hope to cultivate a space where people feel welcomed, safe and supported to be themselves in order for them to dive deeper into their understanding of all that dance entails.
